Give green gifts this festive season

Ditch the kitsch this festive season - gift a tree instead and contribute to Greenpop's Holiday Tree Drive goal of 1000 trees! When Greenpop plants indigenous trees on your behalf in one of their reforestation projects, that's a real gift.
Escape excessive wrapping paper and gifts that hardly last, this year give a gift that gives back. When you gift a tree, Greenpop will plant the tree in the Platbos Forest, Africa's southern-most forest, in Overberg, South Africa, where indigenous trees are much needed to combat centuries of deforestation and the overtake of alien invasive species. In the last four years Greenpop has planted 18,000 trees with an 85% survival rate.

This year, let your gifts for clients, staff, family and friends be part of this lasting legacy. Tree Rings are great for corporate gift bags, client's gifts, staff gifts, office tree decorations, stocking fillers, or festive function table settings.

With each tree you purchase you'll get a tree-shaped key ring (Tree Ring) with a unique code on the tag that the receiver registers online to be sent the GPS coordinates of their tree. Greenpop's beaded Tree Rings are handcrafted locally by Sydney Nyamutaka who is starting a small beadwork enterprise in Cape Town.

Tree Rings are R140 (R120 is the tree donation and R20 is the key ring)

If you're more of a digital giver, Greenpop also has e-Tree Cards that you can order online. You gift an indigenous tree for R120 and you create an automatic gift card that you can send to your loved ones this festive season. Especially if you are traveling during the festive season, consider compensating for the carbon footprint of those air miles.
