It's out - The Bookmark Awards 2011 finalists have been announced and NATIVE has cracked 12 finalist spots. "The Bookmark Awards recognise industry leaders and achievers in the digital marketing and media space, and with competition as fierce as it is in this industry it's no easy feat making it to the finals. I am very proud of my NATIVE team," says Jason Xenopoulos, CEO of NATIVE.
Looking at the rapid growth of this dynamic industry, it doesn't come as much of a surprise that this year's finalists have set new standards. Scores are based on four key criteria, namely creative concept and idea, design and content, technology and innovation and results/objectives met.
With no less than 12 finalists in various award categories, NATIVE stands firmly against other digital heavyweights such as HelloComputer (18), Quirk (14), Ogilvy (11), Gloo (6) and Prezence (4).
NativeOS is a strong competitor for the Product Awards in the category of the Best Browser Based Software. Other highlights include the Standard Bank Matric Results in the Integrated Digital Marketing/Campaign category, Appletiser in the Social Media Platform category, the Foschini website in the Retail - Large enterprise category as well as Visi magazine in the Specialist publisher category.
In the Individual & Team Awards, NATIVE boasts two finalists in the Digital Editorial Individuals category: Gemma Wilkie and Makgale Tema. Adam Whitehouse is up for the Creative Director Award and Jennifer Grace for the Media Planner Award.
Apart from the Product, Individual & Team Awards, NATIVE is a finalist in the category of Best Agency in the Achievement & Special Honours Awards. Lastly, CEO Jason Xenopoulos, is a finalist in the category of Best Individual Contribution to South Africa's Digital Media & Marketing.
"We'll be tracking the latest news on the awards on twitter (@Nativespeak) and facebook (www.facebook.com/Nativesa) and we're looking forward to seeing who walks away with the top honours when winners are announced at the awards evening on 10 November," says Loki Magerman, Marketing Manager NATIVE.
