Stonewall+ assists Vodacom in becoming the voice behind Bafana Bafana

The greatest show on earth is about to rocket our country into global consciousness. The time is now to be super proudly South African, and what better expression of that than support of our national team?
As sponsors and supporters of Bafana Bafana, Vodacom is leading the wave in a drive to get all South Africans behind the national team. Stonewall+, the digital marketing agency, was tasked to create a digital platform that enabled users to pledge their support and reflect the measure of our nation's pride.

The result is a striking microsite,, which encourages people to join the voice behind Bafana Bafana, and demonstrate their support via messages of goodwill and encouragement.

A live stream of SMS's are visualised as micro-particles that join to form a dynamic vuvuzela and other iconic South African shapes. The constant supply of messages keeps the shape in flux, forever morphing, resizing and reshaping. Each particle reveals the actual SMS message it represents as well as encouraging the sharing of messages via social networks.

Says Ben Wagner, CEO of Stonewall+, "We're delighted to be working on a campaign that ignites and mirrors our business' pride in our national team. We look forward to amplifying our football heroes by all the digital means available to us and by further driving the relationship that the Vodacom brand has in our nation's psyche."

The site is a novel, entertaining and engaging representation of Vodacom's position as a patriot and supporter of Bafana Bafana. But it is the digital vuvuzela that steals the show as a brilliant, quantifiable, reflection of our nation's spirit. Visit the site at
