Men who know it all

Men have the answers to everything? Yes, say the guys at Stonewall+, the digital marketing agency. Their launch of the all-new Nestlé Bar-One website,, proves the point. The site offers men a brand interaction that is contemporary, entertaining and informative.

The new Bar-One website's main feature is an interactive content syndicator that works on a 25-hour timeline. The extra hour is a bonus. Information, specifically targeted at men, is pulled from hundreds of websites from around the world. The bite-size chunks of exclusive content are updated by the hour.

"This project allowed us, together with our technical partner, Global Vision, to mash up the traditional RSS feed with something that delivers an interactive content feed tailored to the Bar-One man. We focused on an elegant, utility orientated interface to which flash and Papervision 3D was the clear choice for technical delivery. The cool thing is that our client was willing to stretch their thinking of how this could work, which in turn inspired our team to push hard in delivering something special," says Adam Whitehouse, Creative Director of Stonewall+ Digital Marketing.

The site also hosts the entry process for the ‘Bar-One Manhunt' promotion. The new Reality TV show starts in January 2010. 14 men will compete in tough physical challenges to win over R1 000 000 in prizes.
