[The Digital Edge] Can SA be a breeding ground for Web 2.0 startups? Join Vinny Lingham and others

SA's digital marketing voice takes an investigative look at the South African Web 2.0 industry to try and understand if it has been affected by the lack of broadband or if it is progressing at a rate rivalling international trends.
With the state of broadband penetration in this country being in the poor shape that it is it's no wonder that innovation has been stifled. However, South Africa has still bred some interesting new start-ups that are internationally renowned.

We speak to now internationally-based Vinny Lingham of Synthasite to get his view from a global perspective. We also speak to Charl Norman of Blueworld, Justin Hartman of Afrigator and Barbara Mallinson of Obami to see what is going on in the local market and whether the required level of innovation is there.

Come find out if there is any money to be made in Web 2.0 and whether we can compete internationally in this week's episode of The Digital Edge.
