To promote Nu Metro Home Entertainment's latest DVD release of The Incredible Hulk, bright green die cut signs featuring bold onomatopoeia style headings appeared on or close to fallen walls, uprooted trees, bent street poles and blown-over information signs, in and around Gauteng suburbs. The die cut signs were accompanied by the title and copy that read “Releasing 13 October 2008 on DVD and Blu-Ray™”.
The logic of placing these signs near things that have been destroyed, highlighted the comic character's supernatural strength, and being in the suburbs, allowed the idea to talk directly to the audience it was aimed at - kids and parents.
This project was a proactive idea that the client loved and took to market. Volcano Advertising is constantly exploring creative opportunities that are both original and inspired in order to benefit their clients.
