Volcano Advertising recently joined forces with Prezence to create a visually stimulating website and highly successful electronic communications for Powerade, a product of The Coca Cola Company. The newly designed Website delivers strong brand requirements that ensure the Powerade brand goes beyond the conventional sports drink.

The website was implemented in two phases; Phase 1, The Drink, and Phase 2, The Sport. Volcano was tasked to source information, images and events for Powerade to create a distinctive brand identity, which associates the product with premier sporting events and athletes.

The website highlights the bold, daring and unconventional Powerade brand positioning and educates the core target audiences about the distinct product benefits. With a multitude of features, the website provides digital visitors with an experience that broadens the user's knowledge and interaction with the brand.

“The site was designed around Powerade's ‘Bring it On' approach to sport and features bold imagery and animation, unconventional yet intuitive navigation systems, streaming video, and other cool interactive features such as the ability for users to change the colours on the site according to Powerade flavours. Users can also register via the site to be kept up-to-date on all Powerade related news and happenings. The Website embodies Powerade's core brand image and keeps sports fanatics in the sporting game,” comments Jane Carlisle, Volcano Business Director.

The website was developed in Adobe Flash, and published for Flash Player 8, ensuring significant market penetration. In addition, a customised content management system was built for Powerade to allow them control over their content.
