Having been a tremendous hit in Pietermaritzburg in June earlier this year, the Engen Dynamic Cycle Challenge has already been recognised as one of the safest cycling events by Bicycling online readers and organisers are anticipating another successful event, with online entries for the 99km classic and 46km short route streaming on daily and a number of professional teams that includes Team CWC, Team Neotel and Team Ascis already gearing up to compete.
The event promises to deliver great cycling action on one of the most scenic routes in the Western Cape as well as an array of entertainment such as jumping castles, quad biking and tractor rides that will also be on offer for the whole family. What's more, cyclists who may need a rub down after the event can also visit the ‘Engen Energizing' tent where a number of professional masseuses will be available to help relieve post-race aches and pains.
The Engen Dynamic Cycle Challenge offers total prize money to the value of R30 000, lucky draw giveaways to the value of R200 000.00 on the day, while the first 250 registered entrants will each receive a cycling starter kit.
Cyclists still wishing to participate can enter online or collect an entry form from the Engen One Stop (in the direction of Wellington), Cycle Lab Northgate and Westlake, selected Engen Service Stations as well as cycle shop dealers across the Western Cape.
