This year, Joe Public has secured the remarkable talent of
Just Jinjer to perform at the Rock4Aids concert – ‘unplugged'. It takes place in an intimate theatre environment with
Harris Tweed as support band and Marc Lottering as master of ceremonies for the evening.
To promote ticket sales Joe Public needed to create a commercial, and approached Frieze Films and Fine for assistance. The commercial needed to be finished quickly but it was also important that there be a certain emotive quality considering the importance of the event and the charity it supports. With the help of Blade, Sphere Animation and Frequency, the commercial really does work beautifully.
Says Joe Public executive creative director, Pepe Marais: “It is always heart-warming when our suppliers pull together for a greater cause, and in the process still manage to do so in a highly professional manner. The end result speaks for itself.”
The event takes place on the 28th of November at the Alexander Theatre and tickets are available at Computicket.
