Giant's Leon Jacobs proves he's a bit of a girl

Jacobs recently got in touch with his feminine side, by producing a stunning commercial for King James' client, Coty. The spot launches Coty's new female fragrance "Angelica" which promises to bring out 'the other you'.

Jacobs, an ex-adman who cut his teeth on more boy-ish brands like Land Rover, was clearly the wildcard option in a three-way pitch against experienced female talent in this category.

Jacobs says: "I worked at giving the board a treatment that could match the quality of the idea. I'm very pleased with the way it turned out and I think we all had a lot of fun making it."

The script, developed by creative team Adrian Chunga and Anina Underhill, under the creative directorship of Alistair King and Sue Reed, required a director who could extract strong performances from the an actress, give the pictures a beautiful look and at the same time control a tricky visual effect.

Says Sue Reed of working with Jacobs: "Leon impressed us all with his sensitive approach to this board. He clearly understood the intricacies of the female psyche."
