Oasys embraces a healthy outlook on life

Lifestyle is about how you choose to live your life. Nowadays we are all aware of the importance of staying fit, healthy and in good physical shape. This year the Look & Feel Good Expo held at the Coca-Cola dome, Northgate, offered visitors an array of activities designed to enhance physical and mental well-being. Oasys Innovations supplied a range of infrastructure for the event.
Initiating a healthy lifestyle plays an important role in reducing the risk for the development of lifestyle related diseases such as heart diseases, diabetes, cancer, obesity amongst others. The event offered visitors opportunities to attend wellness workshops that had experts on hand to dispense advice on how to manage a healthy lifestyle in today's stressful environment. Additional to this, Dr John Gray, best-selling author of ‘Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus' facilitated three relationship workshops.

Says Carl Woodland, chief operating officer for Oasys Exhibitions, “We supplied 900m2 of shell scheme, which included carpeting and electrical infrastructure. Furthermore we provided carpets for aisles, special areas as well as for exhibitor stands measuring a total area of 6200m2. We also built three designer stands.” Oasys Audio Visual built nine stages with complete sound and audio-visual, which included stages for the John Gray Workshop, Angela Day Kitchen, Spa Association, Dance Stage and Yoga.

Experienced instructors from across the country further enhanced the expo through yoga demonstrations while the Spa Association hosted a pavilion offering visitors a variety of spa treatments and allowing them a moment to relax and renew their energies. For food lovers The Star's Angela Day Kitchen inspired guests as some of the country's leading chefs cooked healthy yet delicious recipes and the ‘Boost Juice Feel Good Health Bar' tantalised taste buds with low-fat fruit drinks.

A highlight that attracted much attention was the environmentally friendly Renaissance Eco house where healers were ready to carry out readings and provide guidance. Miss Earth also made her appearance to assist in extending the message of greening.

“It was inspiring to experience an exhibition that encompassed everything that forms the essence of healthy living. The Look and Feel Good Expo is certainly unique and it is promising to observe that there is space in the South African exhibitions industry to promote the global trends of healthy living,” concludes Woodland.
