Vaal residents dream it and do it

The fourth annual OFM Homemakers Expo in the Vaal took place from 30 July to 2 August 2009 at the Exhibition and Events Centre of the Emerald Casino Resort in Vanderbijlpark. Several thousand visitors attended the expo, which saw 174 exhibitors showcasing their latest home improvement and décor product and service offerings.
The Homemakers Expo is the largest home improvement show in the Vaal Triangle. Oasys Innovations supplied a total of 2705m2 of carpeting and 732m2 in shell schemes for the expo. Says Carl Woodland, chief operating officer for Oasys Exhibitions: “Even though the Vaal Homemakers Expo has only been in existence for four years, it has increased in popularity. One of the reasons for this is because people needing inspiration or change in their homes can come to this one event and find all the solutions they need.”

Oasys Innovations, who already supplied infrastructure for many of the popular exhibitions held so far this year, also supplied electrics, furniture and designer stands and shell schemes at this event. The theme for this year's expo was ‘Dream it and do it' and visitor figures were up by 10% compared to last year - proving that the show is generating more interest. More and more people are realising the benefits that the expo offers by enabling them to visit one location where they can shop around, do price comparisons and discuss their needs and problems with leading product and service providers.

Apart from the Vaal, Homemakers also presents the expo in other key cities including Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban and Port Elizabeth.
