Oasys got the job done at Sun City

Oasys Events, part of the Oasys Innovations Group, was again contracted by Sun International to prepare the infrastructure for the Nedbank Golf Challenge.
Brian Kennedy, Oasys Managing Director speaks proudly of this achievement: “The event itself was awesome, and we were honoured to accommodate both the players and spectators with the event infrastructure. To partner a respected brand like Sun International is a huge vote of confidence in our ability to supply the complete turnkey installation for this international golf spectacle. We installed 98 marquees, of which some were used for kitchens, wash-up areas, change rooms and hospitality marquees for the sponsors. Due to market demand we again hosted our own 'platinum' package with the public being able to use the Oasys hospitality marquee.”

As in previous years, there was also a marquee for exhibitors for the marketing of predominantly golf related products, systems and services. A typical marquee included a glass frontage, dual level marquees, as well as new skybox designs. Furniture, shell schemes and audio visual equipment was supplied to selected companies and sponsors. In addition, the television interview deck and the Challenge Club was also supplied and installed by Oasys.

Kennedy concludes: “From planning to breakdown, this event took a full six weeks and we were there all the time. The beauty for all sponsors and participating companies was that they could all deal with one turnkey supplier. This was our twelfth year as supplier to the Nedbank Golf Challenge, and as we move towards 2008, we have already created more innovations for event infrastructure which should hopefully further strengthen our market position.”
