Wine and spirit company DGB hired August to create a video for their Brampton range of wines that would help position the wine for consumers. Since Brampton is an independent brand not associated with an estate, and aimed at a younger more energetic market, August developed the concept around Brampton's association and support of creative work.
The one-minute video links the wine brand with local creative talent, including a fashion photographer, furniture maker and clothing designer. Together with footage of the design process behind the Brampton packaging, the finished video underlies the brand's desire to celebrate creativity in all its forms.
Brampton is a range of quality unpretentious wines that sources fruit from the best growing areas of the Western Cape. The Brampton Wine Studio in Dorp Street, Stellenbosch, is their tasting room and home to the various events hosted by the brand to celebrate local talent.
August was formed in 2011 as a production company focused on creating online video content for brands. Run by Francois Botha, David Cope and Jaco Du Plooy, the company incorporates four key services: concept generation, video production, content distribution and tracking and analysis.
