Creative kids in Springleap.com T-shirts embracing their futures through design and marketing. |
Paul Simon, director of springleap.com and founder of YDE, is presenting the Pure Imagination Campaign to all grade 10, 11 and 12 learners in Johannesburg and Cape Town. The competition requires a team of two students - one designer and one marketer - to create and market a T-shirt design that makes use of their pure imagination. The team's design which receives the most votes will receive a three-year bursary each.
The campaign's aim is to highlight the cause of the DEA (Drug Education Agency) which is to educate schools on the dangers of drug experimentation and to provide students with an alternative lifestyle that is healthy, drug-free and focused on their future.
The design submissions close May 4th, 2009. The voting polls are open on the springleap website from the 11th of May 2009 until the 11th of June 2009 and the winning team will be announced June 26, 2009.
"Fabulous trends empowering youth in South Africa are rarely established and imperatives such as nurturing youth and building their futures is disregarded. Therefore Pure Imagination is initiated to give hope and prosperity to youth," says Bradleigh Goring, DEA Project Manager.
