Little Corey Bond, scored early birthday presents as his mum raced against the clock grabbing him toys amounting to over R4000 at the Tokai Branch in Cape Town. “He was very excited to see me run about picking out toys. A toy run was something that I had always dreamed of winning when I was a kid, it could not have been better timing as the 10th January 2010 marked his first birthday,” said mum Jessica Bond.

Another lucky winner Cwangco Mngomezulu-Tshandu (age 3) was fortunate enough to have his big brother Nhlanhla (age13) around to help with the toy run. Mother of both children Virginia Tshandu was overjoyed at the news. “I got a call a week before and the kids spent the whole week thinking about remote controlled cars and trucks. They won 4x4's, a Hummer, quad bike, and a new Christmas tree.”

The competition ran at the end of 2009 and was promoted in all 25 Toys R Us stores nationwide.
