Due to demand in the PR industry, P and P Content has introduced its range of PR workshops to Cape Town, the first of which takes place from 10th to 12th September in the City Bowl.
The workshops, a series of three stand-alone, interactive modules, to be held over three days, will be run by leading PR practitioners and industry specialists.
According to Patricia Pichulik of P and P Content, what's different about these workshops is that they're totally practical, cutting-edge and run by the industry for the industry. “A lot of the other seminars and workshops in the PR arena are academic or run by companies that are not specialists in the field.”
The Power of the Press Release and PR Global Plan workshops focus on real projects that delegates bring with them, including several press releases or a current PR strategy they are working on for their company or client.
“This means that delegates walk away from the workshops with projects that they can roll out the next day,” adds Pichulik.
The third workshop, Understanding the Media, is facilitated by Beverley Houston, who has extensive experience in the media industry and is currently the communications director at a leading brand PR company.
As part of the workshop, a leading journalist spends an hour with the delegates and answers a host of practical questions about the do's and don'ts.
Understanding the Media will enable you to effectively manage a media interview - learn how to identify and refine key messages, with practical advice on print and broadcast media, through hands-on experience and one-on-one interviews with a journalist.
The Power of the Press release, The Global PR Plan and Understanding the Media are complimentary, powerful one day workshops, with a focus on strengthening the broad skills required to be a successful PR practitioner.
The three workshops will be also be held in Johannesburg at The Peech Hotel, Melrose from 16th – 18th October 2007.
Early booking is essential as each workshop only accommodates about five delegates.
