Joomla!, the 'cutting edge' open source content management system, is opening its doors to Gauteng with an open day in Johannesburg this Saturday 14th July.
The Joomla! Southern African Portal (an authorised community portal for Joomla! users in Southern Africa) has partnered with P and P Content (www.pandpcontent.co.za) and other sponsors, to produce an open day for all to experience the online evolution, which is Joomla!
Joomla! Day South Africa is a gathering of Joomla! users, this time in Johannesburg - end users, managers, administrators, developers and service providers to the Joomla! community. A day of networking, presentations, discussions and fun is planned around the Joomla! Content Management System.
South Africa has experienced a phenomenal growth of Joomla users, with thousands of websites being produced on the open source platform. The Joomla! Southern African Portal (www.joomla.org.za) has seen the growing demand for Joomla! training and infrastructure in South Africa, and has opened its doors creating an online social network for users, administrators and developers alike.
www.Joomla.org.za is geared to support and connect users, designers, developers, hosts and other interested folk, in a neutral meeting space, which keeps users abreast of Joomla! developments and happenings from a Southern African perspective.
