HDI Youth Marketeers has partnered up with the Ferndale-based Tool Share Studio - a maketspace that provides the average Joe with all the tools, space and inspiration - to design, invent, and create their very own DIY wooden masterpieces.

The unique craft centre generously provided the forever curious team with the space and services to help them make hand crafted gifts for the children at Abraham Kriel Childcare - who made a special request for bookcases and bedside tables for the care centre.

The created items will be donated to Abraham Kriel and delivered on Friday 19 July 2013. The Abraham Kriel Childcare organisation is close to the hearts of HDI staffers, who have spent a lot of hours and a number of special occasions at the home.

"You, and other donors alike showed neighbourly love ... Your help, regardless of what it was, keeps the wheels of this enormous household turning." - Sandra Nel, Abraham Kriel Childcare, social funding developer.

Abraham Kriel Childcare focuses its efforts on caring for, developing, empowering and reintegrating traumatised children through love, care, guidance and rehabilitation to help them lead sustainable lives.

HDI Youth Marketeers' MD, Jason Levin says, "HDI is privileged to be a service organisation all year round, but it's still great to be able to pitch in with the nation for a 67-minute contribution on Mandela Day - especially to this cause which is close to our hearts."
