Bopanang Primary School had reached out to HDI Youth Marketeers and in response to a #NekNomination from Miss Water 2014, HDI staffers took on the challenge of providing learners with Valentine's Day treats. The aim was to bring a little bit of magic to the kids and tweens, and to try make the day a memorable one.
"We don't always get to support all the causes we get approached on, but we couldn't really pass this one up. Who can say no to 490 kids on Valentine's Day? It involved a less than 48-hour turnaround, but that's the pace of #NekNominations. And we got to have a great time as well as the kids on cupid's special day," says Jason Levin, MD of HDI Youth Marketeers.
HDI Youth Marketeers in turn #NekNominated Plascon and Builders Warehouse to assist Bopanang Primary School build much needed gutters and help repair classroom interiors that are in poor condition.
