An animated tale of the wines of South Africa

Van Riebeeck landing in the Cape in April of 1652 was the start of great things to come for SA. From that moment, South Africa would come to produce some of the world's best wines, and would be the first African state to host one of the greatest sporting tournaments in 2010.
To assist with the promotion and marketing of South African wines, a non-profit organisation, Wines of South Africa (WoSA), was created. Many trade and media shows are set to take place in 2010 providing an ideal opportunity for WoSA to promote great South African wine brands. This organisation turned to us to create a dynamic, captivating and humorous promotional video that would take viewers on a journey through the history of South Africa featuring the highlights of soccer and wine throughout the story, while paying special attention to the culture, landmarks and environment of South Africa. Using 2D illustrations and 3D elements we created a compelling sequence that tells of the development of SA wine, following a soccer ball that begins the journey being kicked by Van Riebeeck and ends the sequence by landing at a beautiful stadium with much celebration.
