Dentyne spreads smiles with a R20 000 donation to Smile Foundation

In the spirit of Good Choices, Dentyne has chosen to share the power of a smile by donating R20 000 to the Smile Foundation. Dentyne believes this foundation is a perfect recipient due to the work they do to put smiles on the faces of thousands of children in South Africa (www.smilefoundation.co.za). The donation will go towards helping build beautiful smiles during the upcoming 'Smile Week' hosted at the PE Provincial Hospital Complex in August.
"We hope our donation will further the efforts of the Smile Foundation and help make a child's dream of a beautiful smile come true," says Georgie Harpur, Brand Manager of Dentyne Gum, Kraft Foods South Africa.

Moira Gerszt, the Chief Operating Officer of the Smile Foundation, was extremely grateful for the gesture. "We value partnering with brands like Dentyne as such a natural synergy exists between the two brands. Thank you for hosting an exceptional event that raised money to assist in putting a smile on a child's face and thank you for making a difference in these children's lives," concludes Gerszt.

Good Choices campaign with O, The Oprah Magazine

The donation forms part of the wider Good Choices campaign that Dentyne is running in partnership with O, The Oprah Magazine. The campaign kicked off in May and focuses on encouraging women to make positive choices every day to achieve personal goals in order to be the best they can be. The Good Choice campaign is centered around an exciting online application (www.goodchoices.co.za) where readers can build their own Good Choices board to help visualise their goals. The campaign also incorporated a lush event hosted by O magazine and Dentyne in Johannesburg, where bestselling author, life coach and O magazine contributor, Martha Beck, spoke to hundreds of readers and invited guests about making positive life choices and living their best lives.

To illustrate the positive effect of a beautiful and healthy smile at the event, Dentyne had two plasma walls with cameras to capture, display and count guests' smiles throughout the afternoon. To demonstrate that every smile counts, after capturing over 6000 smiles Dentyne announced the brand would be donating R20 000 to the Smile Foundation to help others show off a beautiful, healthy smile.
