Diana Keam joins Platypus

Diana Keam, Platypus Productions' new executive producer, brings over 20 years of experience on both commercials and feature films.
She's excited about her new role at Platypus. "The company is producing great work - their ZooZoo campaign for Vodafone must be one of the most watched commercials of the last decade. It's fresh and different, which really excited me."

As co-founder of Faith Creations, Diana helped oversee the remarkable rise and rise of Sunu Gonera from production assistant to Hollywood director in just five years.

Under Diana's leadership, Faith shot over 100 local commercials for brands like Nike, MTN, Axe and Joko. They also serviced international commercials for the USA, UK and Ireland.

As a freelance assistant director, Diana worked on In My Country with Samuel L. Jackson and Juliette Binoche; Diamond Hunters with Alyssa Milano; and cult South African film Jump the Gun.

She's also produced, line produced and developed a number of other features for both the local and international markets, while her directorial debut, the short film My Other Mother, has screened at festivals around the world and is being developed into a full length feature film.

At Platypus, she'll be representing five talented South African directors - Ian Chuter, Fiona Macpherson, Vicci Turpin, Michael Buckley and Renee van Reenen - as well as Indian legend Prakash Varma.

"Platypus is really growing," says Diana, "so I can see a lot of scope and believe I can really add value. Their inhouse off and on line and graphics facilities afford them a huge competitive advantage"

Founded in 1992, Platypus Productions is one of most established commercial production companies in South Africa and is enjoying a new lease on life since their Vodafone Zoo Zoo campaign became a global phenomenon.

Representing directors Ian Chuter, Prakash Varma, Vicci Turpin, Michael Buckley, Fiona Macpherson, and Renee van Reenen, Platypus offers a full-service creative solution for any board, from production to postproduction.
