Marketing, advertising and activation agency Bloom Marketing on 19 March 2012 scooped the Best Black Woman Owned award at the annual Umyezane Business Awards & Gala dinner hosted by the KwaZulu-Natal Department of Economic Development and Tourism. Bloom Marketing received the award in recognition of its work, contribution to B-BBEE and business ethics. The award came with a cash prize to the tune of R100 000.
This award came right after the agency had done an excellent job at planning and executing a groundbreaking, milestone tourism initiative, the East 3 Route Excursion, hosted by the KZN Department of Economic Development & Tourism and Tourism KZN.
