Karen obtained a Bachelor of Commerce (Sports Management) in 1995 before entering the sports and entertainment industry. She has amassed a wealth of experience on a variety of exciting and memorable events over the last ten or so years. Highlights include the management of the Hennie le Roux benefit year in 2001 which included a benefit match drawing record crowds, management of the school tours programme and 150 volunteers at the Ubuntu Village which formed part of the World Summit on Sustainable Development (2002) and management of Corporate and Global Sponsors Hospitality at the 2003 Cricket World Cup.
More recently Karen has been responsible for the management of all operations and logistics of the Vodacom Challenge from 2005 to 2009 which has hosted Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City. She also hosted the first Vodacom Greatest Supporters Tour where 70 lucky winners were treated to a week in London to watch the Springboks take on the English at Twickenham.
In her career Karen has been fortunate enough to have worked extensively in event production including conceptualising live shows, artist management and script writing. In this time she has been able to build solid and lasting relationships with some of South Africa's top personalities.
