PPC aka Pay per Call

Ever wondered what Google's Pay per Call will look like? Well, look what we've found!
Click on the little telephone picture and a box appears for you to enter your number. Enter your number, click "connect for free" and wait for the advertiser to call you! Very cool.

AND.. there is no need for optimising your PPC landing pages as the advert does not take you to a website. This leads me to my only question ...What if I actually wanted to see a website? Isn't that why I went online?

Thoughts about Pay per Call-
Interesting question about people wanting to see a website. I have a few thoughts on this. The first is that there are lots of people wanting lots of different things. Like all marketing efforts, budget and time permitting, one should try to cater to the mix of marketing activities and marketing channels. Pay per Call is just one of them and will cater to those who are looking for a supplier and want to get on with making a call, instead of "wasting their time" on a website (let's face it, many websites tend to waste our time).
Having said that, we at LeadGenerators have not found it particularly useful yet for our clients. Our feeling is that, while it is an interesting idea, the volumes are just not big enough - yet - to make a noticeable difference to our clients bottom line. But we do not discount it as, like with many new ideas, who knows how it will develop in the future and where it will go. I suppose its really a matter of "watch this space"!
