South Africans keep up with global trends at New York Expo

Prominent South African digital media and advertising experts attended the annual Online Media, Marketing and Advertising (OMMA) Global Expo in New York where top industry leaders shared their insights.

Alexandra Spagnolette of apurimac media, Conrad Kabeeke of OMG Digital, James Edwards of apurimac, Nic Van Den Bergh of Isobar, Will Green of Apurimac Media, Marsha Azar of Starcom MediaVest, Richard Sidersky of Aqua Online and Diane Kolbe of Acceleration (in front) during their trip to New York to attend the Online Media, Marketing and Advertising expo.
apurimac media hosted some of their top clients at the Expo to give them a first-hand global perspective of the online marketing and advertising trends likely to reach South Africa soon. "What we're likely to see here is a significant upswing in the number of digital campaigns, greater creativity and localisation as well as increased consumer activity," says Will Green, managing director of apurimac media.

"In the year ahead we expect to see a meeting of minds between marketers and niche digital players as digital reaches critical mass for key audience and product sectors. Beyond 2011 digital will be mainstream and brands will need to do it right or get left behind," Green concluded.
