Golden Planes, a Cape Town-based production company, has launched itself onto the local arena by taking on two high-calibre directors, Dave Meinert and Sven Harding.
"We have previously focused exclusively on the international and African market, but we are now striving to continue our creative efforts locally," says Herman le Roux, Producer of Golden Planes. "We are very happy to represent two excellent directors, they both direct the kind of imaginative and creative spots that have become synonymous with Golden Planes."
Dave has directed highly acclaimed commercials locally and abroad. With a background in music videos and short films, his commercials depict a quirky interpretation of character with a simple yet stylistic approach. His broad repertoire includes various shooting styles and formats although his preferred focus is always performance-based commercials.
A versatile and technically adept director, Sven's highly visual, location-led approach to film-making and his discerning application of glossy magazine-style photography has seen him shoot many fashion and beauty spots, whilst his extensive music video experience and expertise in working with dancers has seen him shoot several imaginatively choreographed spots.
