How to build a great mobisite

The Heavy Chef Session in Johannesburg this month focuses on "Building Great Mobile Sites", with Tim Bishop from Prezence as the speaker. Heavy Chef Sessions are free monthly presentations by top speakers in the marketing industry.
At The Heavy Chef Project, we've published multiple articles and asked the opinions of many leaders in the field. Last month Vince and Nic from Motribe spoke to us in Cape Town about their experiences building up their burgeoning social network (at last count it was adding 10,000 new mmembers per day!) Check out the video of the event here.

For March's speaker, we've invited the erudite, strapping, famously successful and cocky-as-hell Tim Bishop, founder of Prezence Digital, to come and chat to us about what's involved in building a decent mobile site. Tim believes strongly that South Africa and other emerging economies sell themselves short by building sub-standard mobisites. Looking abroad, Tim thinks that there's no reason why we can't develop world-class mobile destinations. Tim will share his experiences and advice on how we can move forward in this ever-expanding field of the mobile web.

Date: Thursday, 31 March 2011 at Deloitte Offices, Building 33, in Woodmead (Click here for Map)
Time: 6 for 6h30pm
Cost: Mahala for smart phone owners. Motorola doesn't count. Motorola owners will not be allowed in at the door.

As usual, supercool beer goodness will be supplied by Corona; super-sumptuous wine by Backsberg.

Join the Heavy Chef community on the Heavy Chef portal, or follow us on Twitter and Facebook to see pics, videos and comment on past and future events.

If you want to hear Tim unpack his ideas, please let us know asap. Seats will fly fast, so get your booking in NOW - here with your request to attend.
