What are you doing to jump on the digital bandwagon in 2010?

There are signs of significant change in the South African marketing landscape. Corporates are finally loosening the IT Department's grip on Facebook usage. Big brands are bolstering their ranks with fresh-faced web-junkies. Even certain traditional agencies are reclassifying themselves as “digitally centred” agencies. So, the question is, what are you doing to jump on the digital bandwagon?
Now, there is The Heavy Chef Course, a simple, effective solution to get you up to speed. The Heavy Chef Course is an acclaimed 3 day intensive course for marketing managers, entrepreneurs, web professionals, PR professionals and business management. The course teaches delegates the basics of creating a profitable web campaign.

The Heavy Chef Course was launched last year to enthusiastic commendation by marketing managers, account managers, entrepreneurs and web developers alike.

Jon Cherry, marketing analyst and founder of globally-successful media portal Cherryflava, had this to say: “The Heavy Chef Course kicked butt for us. The content is deep enough for you to feel fully informed, but not too technical as to make you want to stab yourself with a circuit board. If you're planning to use the internet as a business tool, get up to speed on the Heavy Chef programme.”

Next course running 26th May 2010 in Cape Town (with 20% discount).

The Heavy Chef Course will be held in Cape Town from Wednesday May 26th to Friday May 28th. Early delegates will receive an Early Bird Special of 20% off the main price. The course is run by internationally experienced trainers and will cover:

Day 1: Digital Strategy
How to set up your campaign, strategically, technically and creatively. We also look at measurement and accountability.

Day 2: Design and Development
The ins and outs, the pitfalls and the reality of creating a world class campaign.

Day 3: Ongoing Marketing
We demystify the dark arts of search engine marketing. We also look at the new tools of social networking and community building; as well as uncover the secrets of brand building in the new economy.

The course is a product of The Heavy Chef Project, a practical learning and education initiative created by digital marketing agency, World Wide Creative. For more information, go to www.heavychef.com/courses.

How many consumers are truly digital in South Africa?-
Could someone answer that question and convince me that this digital revolution is a reality please. Frankly, I am not convinced.
