This China Sourcing Fair was historic though, as it was the very first Global Sources Expo, to be held on the African Continent and RBJ Marketing Solutions got to be there, to help make it a reality.

The China Sourcing Fair was attended by:

  • Mr. Chen Yong, Vice Consul General of the People's Republic of China in Johannesburg, South Africa
  • Mr. Li Yuan, Commercial Counsellor, Economic & Commercial Section, Consulate-General of the People's Republic of China in Johannesburg, South Africa

  • Mr. Tommy Wong, President of Global Sources Exhibitions.

Bill Janeri, General Manager of Developing Markets for Global Resources said in an interview, "We are very excited about the turnout for the China Sourcing Fair over the last two days, here in Johannesburg. We have a wide selection of exhibitors from China, Hong Kong, Taiwan exhibiting their newest designs in electronics, home products, gifts and premiums and more. And the visitors we talked with so far are pleased to see such a diverse array of quality and styles. It is a wonderful atmosphere and we are pleased with the exposure we have received."

In an interview with Tommy Wong, The President of Global Sources Exhibitions he reiterated, "South Africa is a wonderful place, and the venue is beautiful and unusual to the exhibitors. We look forward to our exhibition next year at Ghallager Estate and hope to incorporate South Africa's Aids Day festivities in our programme. The Exposure we received is fantastic and everyone is very pleased with the turnout."

The China Sourcing Fair and the India Sourcing Fairs were an experience for the business men and women as they visited the expos. The general consensus was that they would be back next year to see what was on offer.

Jeff Madibeng, Executive Managing Member of RBJ Marketing Solutions commented, "It was great working with Global Sources on this project and I am a huge fan of the Hong Kong Expo. My vision is to see SA raise our exhibition's standards to the same world class standards abroad. I was honoured to meet Tommy Wong and look forward to working with him on realising that vision in the years to come," after a vigorous hand shake between Tommy Wong and Jeff Madibeng, Jeff further commented, "This is the beginning of greater things for our young aspiring company and we're thriving on the international relationships being built."

RBJ Marketing Solutions has already started planning a more vigorous campaign to draw even more businesses to this informative expo next year so keep an eye out for our media releases about next year's China Sourcing and India Sourcing Fairs, don't miss out!
