Icon takes the PICA Leisure & Lifestyle category

Icon, the Pam Golding Group's customer magazine published by The Publishing Partnership (TPP), has won the Best Leisure & Lifestyle magazine in the Customer category of the Sappi Pica Awards.
"The words 'leisure and lifestyle' encapsulates the content that Icon offers its blue chip readers, and to have our efforts recognised by the Pica committee is an affirmation of how we have been able to touch the lives of Pam Golding's clients," says Mark Beare, joint managing director of TPP.

Icon is just one of a very strong stable of magazines published by TPP. Musica's Pulse Magazine received a Highly Commended Award in the Customer Magazines Entertainment and Arts category. This was the cherry on the top for the magazine, which has grown by over 100% in content and advertising revenue over the past 18 months. With the Pica acknowledgement it is set to grow even bigger in 2006.

Another Highly Commended was awarded to ClubCard magazine, the Clicks loyalty programme's premier benefit, in the customer magazine retail category. The glossy magazine, published by TPP, is posted to 700 000 Clicks customers six times a year. "We've worked hard to make ClubCard magazine a great read, a great club benefit and a superb marketing tool for Clicks and its suppliers," says editor Abigail Murison. "We're proud that the magazine has been singled out for praise at the Picas and aim to always be contenders in the awards."
