Digital was this year's fastest growing area of the Loeries in terms of entries. Gloo's phenomenal success builds on the last two years at this event, where it grabbed Gold and multiple Gold, on successive occasions.

Gloo shattered Loerie Awards records this year when it swept up 9 of the 17 available digital awards including 2 gold, 4 silver and 3 bronze birds. This adds up to a never-achieved-before, 68% of all creative points being awarded to Gloo within this category.

Showing Gloo's diversity in talent, they added to this haul with an award in 3D Design Packaging, making a total of 10 statues across the weekend.

Gloo's creative director Pete Case was jubilant about the outstanding results. “It's awesome when you consider that the awards represent work across so many design disciplines and for so many different accounts. We're fortunate to have found clients that recognise the power of digital and also to have such a brilliant team here at Gloo. It certainly proves that we're producing excellent work and I'm humbled by the industry's positive opinion of what we've created this year.”

Mike Schalit, Chief Creative Officer of BBDO adds, "It's gratifying to see online taking creativity to the kind of levels that invite participation. With today's consumer demanding involvement, the keys to success are high level creatives that understand the psyche of the consumer as well as the power to understand the relevant technology. Collaboration goes even further here, with Gloo being a truly independent arm of BBDO, adding digital design value wherever the client or market interface demands it - be it direct to client, within the group, outside of the group, or direct with other agencies. A new age cries out for breaking down the old dinosaur boundaries. With Pete at the helm, Gloo is certainly reinventing ways of communicating with consumers."

Andrew Whitehouse, Creative Director of FoxP2, whose team also works closely with Gloo continues, “Gloo has a true freshness about their work and a commitment to creativity that puts them way ahead of the pack. My high expectations are always exceeded.”

This recent success follows on from Gloo's recent recognition at both the Webby's (the world's largest online awards show held in America) and the New York Advertising Festival.
