Graffiti gets Sable Square on the go in branded London taxi cab

To generate hype and excitement around the launch of Cape Town’s newest shopping experience, the marketing team of Sable Square Outlet Shopping Village in Century City called upon vehicle branding specialists, Graffiti, to provide them with a branded London Taxi Cab to take to the streets and announce the arrival of South Africa’s first retail outlet shopping village.
Operated by Cape Town-based taxi operator, Rikki’s Taxi Service, the attention grabbing, bright red London Cab has succeeded in attracting attention to the new shopping village and its 34 designer-label outlet stores and has also proved to be a useful branding tool at the various centre promotions. In addition, the cab has been utilised to transport a group of international models to- and from the shopping village for a prmotion!

Comments Caroline Coates, Marketing Manager for Madison Property Fund Managers, - developers of Sable Square, “Our decision to use Graffiti’s branded London Taxi Cab was based largely on the massive success of the retail outlet shopping experience in the United Kingdom. And what better British icon to draw attention to our new brand, than the London Taxi Cab? Coupled with its highly effective mobile branding function that has definitely managed to generate a lot of interest in the centre, the cab has also been able to fulfill a number of very useful alternative roles thus providing us with an unique, multi-dimensional marketing experience.”
