Exp South Africa is flying high after the company won four awards at the recent Marketing Excellence Awards.
This year, Exp won gold awards for the Absa KKNK in the Arts & Culture (Large Budget) category and the Nestlé Milo Champions Tournament in the Sport (Medium Budget) category.
Silver Awards were presented to Exp for the agency's work on the Absa Cape Epic in the Sport (Large Budget) category, and the Design Indaba (Absa sponsorship) in the Arts & Culture (Small Budget) category.
Both Exp South Africa and its long-term clients, Absa and Nestlé, are thrilled with the awards. Exp Sponsorship CEO Justin Sampson notes that he is proud of the work the agency is doing across various industries in the fields of brand activation and sponsorship.
While Exp Sponsorship was voted Best Football Sponsorship Agency by AdFocus last year, Sampson notes that the agency is expanding its sponsorship footprint into other sports codes and new industries. The awards in the Arts & Culture category are testimony to this.
Having appointed various new people to the team, Exp has no plans to rest on its laurels and has already made and won some impressive pitches in 2009. Sampson hints that there are many other exciting plans in the works, and notes that this year promises to be one of growth and opportunity, despite a tough economic climate.
He concludes that the agency has lined up a range of projects with new and existing clients that are sure to be contenders for next year's Marketing Excellence Awards.
