Billads delivers Smint

Smint selected Nine Mile Media's captivating bouquet of media platforms and consumer engaging advertising mechanisms, to place its mint directly in the hands of its target audience after they had a drink or meal inside upmarket coffee shops and light meal environments from mid November until the end of January.
This is the second time that Smint has made use of the innovative Billads medium to create awareness around its product and to encourage consumers to taste it.

Smint effectively utilised Nine Mile Media's consumer captivating Window Decals and Table Talkers to draw consumer attention when they entered the restaurant and sat at the table, whilst the Billads Bill Folders carried the product advertising, sticker and a free Smint sample directly to the consumer along with the bill.

"The synergy created between the Smint brand and Billads Bill Folder ensured successful results, as consumers were given a sample to taste at the exact moment when they would be looking for something to freshen their breath," says Craig Segal, the Managing Director of Nine Mile Media.

Onsite research conducted by Interact RDT questioned 110 respondents from 10 different restaurant sites around Johannesburg and Pretoria and found that an average of 85% noticed the advertising on the Table Talker and/or the Window Decals and Bill Folder, and an impressive 90% received a product sample.

The survey also indicated that 82% said that they would consider trying or buying Smint, 58% had already purchased it, and 85% would tell their friends and family about it.

"The main objectives of the campaign - creating awareness and encouraging the taste of Smint - were successfully achieved with 83% increased awareness of Smint, 66% of respondents indicating that they would tell their family and friends about it even though it wasn't their preferred brand, and 64% eating the Smint whilst still at the table," adds Segal.
