The Baby Expo helps the SPCA

At The Baby Expo families are the focus and no family is really complete without a four-legged friend. To remind us of this and to aid in the wonderful work they do, the SPCA Randburg will be at The Baby Expo selling doggie balloons in all shapes and sizes and giving out brochures about the animal welfare work they do.
"Our main objective is to raise funds through balloon sales and donations and also to create awareness of our cause. It's important for us to be in the public eye so that people can be reminded about the services we offer and the many beautiful animals that are up for adoption," comments Nicole Nuppenau, SPCA Randburg fundraiser.

There are many factors to take into consideration when adopting an animal and the SPCA Randburg will be happy to answer all the questions our visitors have.

There is no doubt that the arrival of a baby changes the whole focus of your life - and also it affects pets. Planning is required to ensure that pets are made to feel important still, to reduce any stress or frustration for them. Even if it means seeking help from a friend or family member, it is advisable to keep to the pet's exercise and feeding routines before and after the baby arrives.

Dogs and cats will be curious if a baby or child arrives into the family. Introducing the new arrival to the animals gently is an excellent idea, especially as you will be there to step in if any untoward behaviour arises. It is also worth giving your animals a little bit of extra-special attention at a time like this, just to let them know you still care.

It's also never too early for little ones to learn about the SPCA and how they can get involved with helping also.

By buying a doggie balloon not only will the children have a fun toy but parents will be supporting a great cause.

The SPCA Randburg's primary concern is the prevention of cruelty to all living creatures. Their team of employees and volunteers is dedicated to the care and protection of all animals in Greater Randburg and The Baby Expo is proud to be of help.

The Baby Expo will be kick start with their first show for the year in Johannesburg from 13-16 May at the Coca-Cola dome but visitors can look forward a second Johannesburg show to their list, scheduled from 25-28 November at The Coca-Cola dome.
