African Motion Picture Company tells the Neotel Story: Enabling today's world

Passion, understanding, ingenuity are key values embraced by new SA telecommunications company Neotel. And when Neotel went in search of a production company to capture these values in a corporate DVD, a match was found in an ‘off-the-wall' concept presented by the African Motion Picture Company (AMPC), a member of the Wisdom Keys Group.
Wisdom Keys Group CEO Shaun Liedtke says: “The AMPC has responded well to the brief, having demonstrated to clients, first and foremost, that they understand their business, their vision, but more importantly, the business results they're after. And secondly, they demonstrated a great track record in accurately expressing brand values through every component of the communications and marketing mix. In this case, through a tightly packaged corporate film.”

Neotel's brief was for the production of an informative, entertaining and high-impact corporate film. The African Motion Picture Company's response was a concept that was a dynamic, emotive, Pulp Fiction-type production using a combination of testimonials, interviews and up-tempo voice-overs to tell the Neotel story.

Comments Creative Director Justyn Davies: “What we've captured in this presentation is that Neotel is a family of heroes, who work together, ‘live and breathe' together in their collective ‘unlimited' approach to technology, performance, service delivery and innovation. It's a message that says, ‘we are the heroes who keep Neotel's engines roaring, we make it happen every day, Neotel brings to the South African market unlimited possibilities'.”

The AMPC captured the spirit of Neotel interviewing key personnel and clients in a tranquil environment, but treating the interviews with a feast of visual imagery.

“In our ‘unlimited' approach, we had sound track produced specifically for this production, and brought Neil Solomon on board to produce a sound track to bring Neotel's people and its core brand values to life. And the impact it delivers, throughout the presentation, but more so as the presentation concludes…well, let's just say it's riveting!”, exclaims AMPC executive producer Chris West-Russell.

The AMPC scooped the Best Corporate DVD of the Year 2008 Award for its third successive year at the SA Publication Forum, for its Coca Cola Swaziland corporate video. So watch this space!
