Revit short course

Revit is the preferred software when it comes to producing working drawings and 3D images.
About the tutor
Benjamin Modimoeng, one of Design Center¹s computer tutors, has an architectural background with many years of experience in the industry. His knowledge of the Auto desk Revit is from working with the software for three years as a draughtsman, producing working drawings and 3D specialist producing photo-real presentation images.

Course objective - Fundamentals
After completing the course you will be able to produce working drawings with proper documentation. i.e
  • Create and modify different types of walls, doors and windows
  • Create and use dimensions and constraints to control object positioning
  • Create and use curtain walls, floors, ceilings, roofs and railing
  • Load, place and modify component families
  • Creating schedule
  • Create callouts, detail views and drafting views
  • Create sections views, drawing sheets, modify title-blocks, control object¹s visibility and line weights.

    Course objective - Advanced
    After completing the course you will be able to set and modify cameras, create walkthroughs, and produce rendered photo-real presentation images.

    The Fundamentals and advanced course will run from Monday to Thursday from 18h00 to 21h00 for three hours.

    The dates are as follows:

    Fundamental:
    first week: 26 ­ 29 May 2008
    Second week: 2 ­ 5 June 2008
    Third week: 9 ­ 12 June 2008

    Advanced
    ONE WEEK: 23 ­ 26 June 2008

    The Fundamentals course that runs during the week will cost R4000.00.

    The Auto Desk Revit (Advance) will run for one week from Monday to Thursday from 18h00 till 21h00 and will cost R 3500.00.

    Greenside Design Center reserves the right to change the dates of the Revit course.
