Bataung Memorial Tombstones' statue tribute to living legend, Archbishop Desmond TutuThe world-renowned spiritual leader, Archbishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu, revered for his relentlessness in fighting the many injustices against black South Africans, was bestowed with the prestigious honour held at the Desmond & Leah Tutu legacy Foundation offices in Cape Town. He received a carved living legend granite statue from the Bataung Memorial Tombstones. 26 May 2014 - In 54 years Limpopo Province has witnessed a number of significant events from THOBELA FM (formerly known as Radio Lebowa) first day of broadcast in June 1 1960, to being granted a degree of self government in 1975. However it was in the late 1990's that the City of Pietersburg became the first Province in South Africa to change its name to Polokwane. The latter years saw the Province appointing its first Premiere Advocate Ngoako Ramathlodi under the administration of South Africa's former late President Nelson Mandela.
