Earlier in June 2011, Media24 emailed its magazine subscribers "the opportunity to convert [their[ favourite Media24 magazine voucher copy to digital format and experience the additional and exclusive features of the digital editions" on the Zinio platform.

At Media24 Magazines we continue to expand the digital footprint of our magazine brands to provide enriching and inspiring content to our audiences across multiple platforms and devices. All our magazine brands go live on Zinio the moment the first printed copy is available for purchase, and is delivered straight to the reader's profile.

We want to give you, as a valued Media24 Magazines customer, the opportunity to convert your favourite Media24 magazine voucher copy to digital format and experience the additional and exclusive features of the digital editions.

Please indicate to us that you want to change over to the digital edition and supply us with the relevant email address and we will activate the change for you immediately.

Would you be happy to pay the same subscription fee for the digital edition that you pay for the print magazine? Would you be prepared to do the same for tablet newspapers? Also see Gill Moodie's latest interview with Koos Bekker for more about Media24's plans for print and digital.

Considering that there is no printing involved, for me it is a no brainer that digital editions should cost less. Posted on 29 Jun 2011 16:31

No chance you will get them to pay either more or the same for digital, especially the Mags, hard news on the other hand may have a better chance of maybe getting away with a fractional charge for digital and like AK101 had to say, take all cost into account and work a rate, printing, distribution, logistics etc etc etc. Posted on 6 Jul 2011 10:44
