Our landlords kindly bore the cost of installing a generator, for which we will only be charged the cost of diesel for every hour the electricity is off - a nominal amount. Um, shouldn't we be able to rely on Eskom? Clearly not, but surely they should be made accountable instead of us all having to fork out even more to stay in a rapidly deteriorating country with incompetent people running it. We pay taxes on taxes, pay way more than everyone else for cars, way more for clothing, way more for food, etc, etc.
