SABC3 Topsport, the official broadcaster of the ICC World Cup Cricket, has appointed 25-year-old Durbanite, Kasturi Naidoo, to present the 15 major matches along with an invited expert.

Naidoo, who is set to be the first South African female cricket presenter on national television, graduated from Natal Technikon before becoming a journalist with the Daily News. She describes herself as "exceptionally passionate" about the sport and believes she will bring something unique to the position: "I believe people will either like me or question why I am there as I have never played. But being a dedicated cricket lover, my contribution will be more people-orientated. It will be a different perspective."
