Kathy Morris appointed director of Viv Gordon Placements
Viv Gordon Placements, Cape Town based recruitment agency specialising in Advertising, Marketing, Public Relations and Publishing has recently appointed Kathy Morris to the position of Director.

Morris, who handles the portfolio of Client Service, Marketing and Research, has been with VGP for 8 years. She brings a wealth of knowledge and industry experience to the table, having worked her way up through some of South Africa's leading ad agencies, including Ogilvy, (previously Rightford Searle-Tripp & Makin), where she spearheaded the Volkswagen Dealer campaign and was likened to a 'one-stop agency' herself. Subsequently, Morris's time at Ogilvy & Mather Direct piqued her interest in the world of interactive multi media and lead her onto tinderbox interactive. Here she wore many hats in helping to get the agency up and running, including finding candidates to fill positions within the company. The recruitment bug bit hard.

Kathy's experience in Advertising and its sister industries have found a home at Viv Gordon Placements. With her first-hand knowledge and extensive connections, she is able to facilitate the best introductions and opportunities in Cape Town.

Viv Gordon Placements also recently appointed Nadia Lurie to handle the busy Design and DTP Portfolio at the agency. Lurie brings an eclectic range of experience and knowledge to the agency.

Lurie started her working career in the hospitality industry and after 8 years abroad and some life experience, ventured into the advertising industry. Finding her niche in 'Traffic' has proved an invaluable resource for her new role in recruitment. Lurie knows how to successfully navigate those choppy seas between "creatives" and "suits", added to which she is well versed in design, DTP, production and crisis control.
