Moatlhodi Dilotsotlhe has been appointed as the Tshwane University of Technology's (TUT's) new director of corporate affairs and marketing with effect from 1 April 2008. Before joining TUT as an academic and Head of the Department of public relations and business communication, he worked in the printed and electronic news media, among others, as a researcher and a journalist at the South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) and the North West Communication Services. He still lectures public relations management and media studies on a part-time basis at the University of South Africa (Unisa).
