Up to now, South Africa has not had comprehensive legislation that governs the protection of personal information and similar data. However, this situation will change when the Protection of Personal Information Bill (POPI) comes into force.

In support of its Next Beeg Dreamer competition, Hansa has collaborated with Urban Brew Studios to produce a series of weekly inserts explaining the campaign. The studio will produce six inserts of 2'30" each - longer than a traditional advert - which will air weekly on SABC 1 during Generations from mid-July 2012.

In the May 2011 issue of CAR magazine, a new type of advertising was introduced - augmented-reality print advertising. The advert in question was a double-page spread, advertising a Mercedes CL63 AMG. It combined print with online content in a novel way. Acentric conducted an ad test with 79 members of the Acentric online panel, in order to examine the adverts performance.

If I asked you to list your problems, they might include: job dissatisfaction, lack of money, home strife and your blood pressure. If you placed them in a table, and were asked to mark those squares where you felt the problem in the row was related to the problem in the column, you'd get a surprising result. Try it.
