E-learning: What's in it for me?
Yes agree to the encouragement from management, especially before and after cos it demo's how important they see it- which in turn pushes the student/employee more.
Also, you must build live interaction into the training to enrich the experience... Colin Morris -Creative Pitch Doctor

The world's funniest joke - its implications for brands
It's International 'Talk like a pirate day' on Friday 18 September. So a pirate joke would be apposite-yes!
Here it is: A pirate walks into a pub and goes up to the bar. The abarman says " What can I get you?' Aaaaarrrrrggghhh, says the pirate" I'll have a beer!" "Fine says the barman, but I need to ask you first why you are walking so awkwardly?" He replies, " Aaaarrrrgghhhh!! I've got a steering wheel in my underpants and its driving me nuts!!"

Marketing Eye SA
Augment your marketing mix
I've seen this idea before. There's a leading company called Roberts Creative in Cape Town that have been doing this for years. They come from a strong marketing background and are already changing the industry. Recently they presented at a mobile marketing conference, so I'm not surprise other company's are following suit.

SABC: Did Tshabalala lie about her qualifications?
It seems to be the culture of most of the people appointed by the African National Congress to lie about their qualifications.

Attract youth to academia says Zuma
You mean well with your comments and 'plans' Mr President, but these learners do not have funding. look at how the current students are struggling with payments from NSFAS, how should they study without funding?

Dear Sir

...Infrastructure both to support growth and bring about greater equality, build the industrial economy and develop black industrialists. The structure of ownership and control established over centuries of colonialism and apartheid remains in place. Most sectors are dominated by a few large producers! The majority of household lack financial and productive assets!Sector strategies to encourage economic diversification and jobcreation and the imperative o improving basic education and skills development!

The exlusion of black people from opportunities in the labour marketand direct ownership of businesses and land!Limited investment infrastructure and services in black communities and black entrepreuners were denied access to credit and industrial and retail sites...

Kind Regards

Water pollution in Mpumalanga mines may cause food crisis
I totally agree with this article. If the government isn't going to do something about the regulation and rectification of the plumbing system then who is? These peopl deserve at the very least access to clean water and the facilities to grow their crops and earn a living for themselves.

Growing awareness of SA's water scarcity
It's stories like this that realy make me appreciate the good plumbing that we have in London. Honestly, it is one thing to have problems with getting water to your house and an entirely different problem when there isn't even the infrastructure to give you the choice. At least with proper piping and everything, you have a choice to decide how you wanna get things done.

Retailers strive to adapt as customers struggle
Now isn't that the story of everybody's life. So many things just aren't able to catch up with increasing prices everywhere! It's no wonder that people are worse for wear. While the prices of cars and fuel and food and basic necessities inflate every year, wages obviously aren't going up! How's anybody going to afford anything if they weren't rich to begin with! I say we need to do something about it do something to make living a little bit more sustainable!
