Our client a leader in the beverage industry seeks a brand manager to join their already highly succsessfull team asap.

Requirements - The candidate must be able to perform the following functions and most essential have at least 3 to 5 years brand management experience with a recognized FMCG company. It would be great if this was in liquor or drinks related areas.
· Market intelligence gathering, understanding and analysing market research.
· Identify the need for market research and motivate to allocate budget towards it.
· Compile the annual Brand Plan (consistent with the long term Brand Strategy).This involves setting market share, sales and profitability targets for the year. As well as deciding what marketing mix will be implemented to achieve the share and sales objectives, including product/packaging initiates, pricing plans, distribution drives, advertising and promotional activities etc. Manage the implementation of the brand plan.
· Compile brand sales and promotional budgets and manage spending within approved limits. Compile research packaging and advertising briefs Liaise with research houses, advertising agencies and packaging design companies.
· Break the brand plan into bite size pieces for communication to sales.
· Project Management - new launches and pack changes.
· Liaise and communicate with all internal functions i.e. manufacturing, finance, sales, distribution etc.
· Sales forecasting / Manage the sales and profit performance of brands
· Liaison with all internal functions i.e. manufacturing, finance planning, sales in order to facilitate new product launches as well as changes in the product, special events etc.
· Generation of Sales and other relevant reports
· Manage the pricing of all products to ensure it is in line with brand plans.
· Media decisions.
· Plan and execute above and below the line promotions.
· Manage the quality of the products Advantageous Internally they must be able to: Operate at middle management level. General office administrative work related to the job. Must have basic accounting knowledge and understand basic financial concepts e.g. what a P&L is all about. Must be computer literate on general office software i.e. excel, word, power point, outlook Marketing policies and procedures Market research, advertising, media knowledge Brand plan compilation and budget determination General office liaison / Strong interpersonal skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills /Good numerical skills Creative / Energetic, with a positive attitude Display a professional image Works well under pressure Adaptable/ Ability to drive projects Strategic thinker and good communicator
Personal Skills/Attributes In possession of a valid drivers license Matric 3 year marketing degree or diploma
