Job description

We are looking for an individual with corporate business development experience that’s dynamic, wanting to further his/her career in business development management. The individual needs to be target driven, have the ability to learn quickly and effectively, as the product is specialised and comprehensive.

Key outputs and responsibilities
  • Building market position by locating, developing, defining, negotiating, and closing business relationships
  • Locating or proposing potential business deals by contacting potential partners; discovering and exploring opportunities
  • Screening potential business deals by analysing market strategies, deal requirements, potential, and financials; evaluating options and resolving internal priorities
  • Developing negotiating strategies and positions by studying integration of new ventures with company strategies and operations; examining risks and potentials; estimating partners' needs and goals
  • Closing new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts and integrating contract requirements with business operations
  • Updating job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organisations
  • Enhancing organisation reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
  • Reporting on sales schedules, activities and planned actions to managing director
  • Participating in marketing events and network opportunities

Qualifications and experience
  • Relevant tertiary qualification and at least three years of experience in a sales environment with high-level business development management experience
  • Valid Code 8 driver’s license is essential.

  • Must be interested in working within a small/medium business environment
  • Must have own transport/car
  • Work occasionally requires travel to current and potential clients
