German Speaking Africa Safari Expert

Our client, a leader in African Safaris, seeks to recruit an experienced and dynamic German speaking Africa Safari Expert to join their ever-expanding team. The right candidate will create and sell tailor-made itineraries to international and German travellers.

Key competencies
  • Achievement of predefined targets as set out in the team contract
  • Ensuring delivery of all elements of the sales process and best practices quality assurance of client travel documentation
  • Ensure traveller information and documentation both prior to booking and after, provided to the client is accurate and correct
  • Ensure documentation received from clients and suppliers and system captured and generated documentation
  • Provide help, assistance and cover for the 24-hour emergency cell phone Customer Relationship / Prospect Relationship / Social Media Marketing
  • Engagement with travellers through online travel forums aligned to Go2Africa's social media strategy
  • Drive for repeat and referral business through self-marketing including reputation marketing initiatives Product Development and Marketing
  • Identify, provide feedback and recommend required product expansion, rejuvenation, termination
  • Assist the Operations Manager / Product Manager with complaints and disputes in order to reach mutually satisfactory resolutions with suppliers pre, during and post travel
  • Provide expert opinions / travel feedback as and when required on destinations, suppliers &/ products Personal Development Plan
  • Ensure an achievable personal development plan is set at the beginning of each year
  • Participate in all team meetings and targeted training sessions and attend ‘off site’ training as and when required to achieve accreditation as Knowledgeable Advisor or Expert Advisor on targeted destinations and/or suppliers
  • Ensure that all development educational and training activities achieve a return on investment by achieving agreed objectives
Qualification and experience
  • Matric and tertiary qualification (advantageous)
  • Authority in South Africa Safari travel (5+years South Africa expertise preferable)
  • CRM systems and Product development experience
  • Southern / East Africa / Indian Ocean Islands / International travel (advantageous)
  • E-marketing and Social Media (advantageous)

  • Aptitude to learn and translate into performance
  • Excellent administration skills and organisational skills / time and task management
